compassionate, root cause medicine for your mental health

Uncover your body's wisdom to heal your mind and show up for what matters most.

Do you have a gut feeling that it's not "all in your head"?

Because willpower and psych meds don't seem to be cutting it.

And because...

...you have important work to do, but can't seem to focus or feel motivated.

...you want to change the world, but feel exhausted and overwhelmed.

...your entire day feels like it's being dictated by anxiety.

...you have real physical symptoms that are worse with stress.

...depression keeps you in bed, isolated and even out of work.

...you feel a bit uneasy that your bipolar diagnosis was made so hastily.

...you dread going to bed because insomnia threatens to ruin the next day.

...your menstrual mood symptoms leave you debilitated each month.

...you need more resources to heal from past trauma.

...you've tried to quit substances like alcohol, drugs and tobacco, but feel like you're white-knuckling it

I see you and I'm here for you.

"I feel like I am on a greater mission.

To learn to hear my own intuition.

I needed to practice, just like anything else.

This fine art of trusting myself.

But intuition can be kind of hard to find.

And it sure can help to have someone remind me

Once in a while of my deepest desire.

To live a life that’s truly inspired."

- from Michal's song, Only a Path

your symptoms are trying to tell you something

There's this joke that I'm kind of bad at telling, but I'll try for you:

You see, there's this guy driving along a country road when he notices the check engine light is on. There's a garage not too far along, so he pulls in and the mechanic says, "of course I can fix that! Come back in an hour and I'll have you on your way." So our man walks to the diner across the street and returns in an hour to discover that the check engine light indeed is no longer lit up. About a mile down the road his car breaks down. Fuming, he walks back to the mechanic and demands, "what happened? I thought you fixed the engine!?" "Oh no," says the mechanic, "I just cut the cord between the engine and the light."

Okay, okay. So maybe it's not funny, per se, but it definitely highlights this point: one way to think about symptoms is as our "check engine light" that indicates that there's something we need to look at under the hood. I see mental health concerns like anxiety, depression, addiction, and others as symptoms that indicate a deeper imbalance. Could it be the rotator's stuck? The oil's out? Admittedly, I don't actually know much about cars, but I happen to specialize in humans!

The Process

How to get started

Step 1

Connection Call

Before you invest precious time and hard-earned treasure, let’s find out if we’d be a good fit to work together. During this free fifteen minute phone call you have an opportunity to ask questions, learn more about naturopathic medicine and get a sense of how we may approach our work together. After we chat, you'll have an opportunity to book your initial appointment

Step 2

Initial Appointment

This is our initial visit together when we talk about where you’ve been, where you are and where you’d like to be with your health over the next 3-12 months. We discuss your values and how you understand and measure your health. We look at your current practices, including any medications or supplements you are taking. We review past health information and decide if any more data, such as gathering additional health records, completing a questionnaire or recommending lab testing, would be necessary to help craft your care plan. This visit lasts up to 80 minutes.

Step 3

Care Guide Visit

This visit is when we go over a proposed care plan to address the root causes of your health concerns. It’s kind of like a travel itinerary for your health plan with points of interest along the way (check-ins, follow-up testing recommendations, etc) and lots of room for exploration. You will leave this visit with a clear timeline of how we will work together over the next 3-12 months with built-in adaptability for when things inevitably don’t go as planned. This visit lasts up to 50 minutes.

Real Stories From Our Community

"I wanted to share with you that I highly recommended you to the UW Headache clinic and shared with them not only the great benefits I’ve had working with you, but your warm, supportive, and empathetic approach. The doctor I visited with was very much interested in having someone she can refer her patients to when patients ask for a more holistic approach. I did share with her that your focus is on mental health, taking into account headaches, amino acid deficiencies, and nutrition.

"Michal is one of the most attentive practitioners I have ever worked with. Her deep listening skills, magical touch and gentle approach makes you feel seen, heard and understood in a way that we rarely get to experience when managing our health in the traditional health world. Her wisdom and knowledge blended together truly make you feel like you are in the hands of a skilled therapist."

Intuitive Business Advisor, The School of Intuitive Leadership

"Working with Dr. Michal was the missing piece to my mental and physical health puzzle this past year. Coming out of the pandemic, even as a mental and physical health practitioner myself, I was out of whack in ways I didn’t know how to handle, and my conventional western doctors were of no help. Dr. Michal was the full package: excellent bedside manner, incredibly supportive, and we figured out new supports to completely transform my energy levels. I couldn’t be more grateful. Wholeheartedly recommend."
